WHAT THE ???

Nothing like a new day...

some heavy exercise (4 miles in 39 min, 12 sec)(Thanks again Wendy for getting me back on track!)

and a clear sky.....
to clear the mind of all that minutiae of yesterday!

Today, I decided I needed a little sewing in my life, so I got to work putting together a tote similar to the one that Pat won on my latest giveaway, but slightly bigger.

Or at least, I thought it would be slightly bigger. I didn't pay much attention to the dimensions and what they might mean...

Looks okay...

But- yeah, I guess 18 inches is pretty tall! (and ~20 inches is pretty wide!)
But WHAT THE ????

I can fit a 9 year old child in the tote!!!!!

And do you see what I see???
As I am taking photos in the family room, I spy a test strip on the rug!!! Didn't I tell you that they are everywhere?!!

Anyway, back to the tote...

Could potentially be used as mosquito netting too for all you campers!!

So after that sizing fiasco (not unlike my new banner - bigger isn't always better, ya know), I decided to go back to an old standby... my freezer paper paper pieced scrappy log cabins...

Cooler temperatures are on the way to further clear my mind!

As I strolled into the house tonight, after attending to one of my 'jobs' (supervising a figure skating session) , it is surprising to see all the leaves falling from the trees all ready...
WHAT THE ???

  2. The tote is big....but if you are anything like me, you carry all sorts of stuff when going to the gym... I have a system of smaller drawstringbags in my gymbags. I know it sounds a little weird, but it's so much easier to find stuff that way! Maybe that would work for your new tote as well?

  3. ....that bag is big!! .....but I am sure you will find something to put in there besides a 9 year old...perhaps it would be the perfect collection bag for the test strips! I have some of that mesh......it has been sitting in my sewing room for ages and I have a couple of patterns....must get around to making one up....since I seem to be in bag making mode at the moment!
