What I Did on My Quilt-Shop Vacation- Part I

Well, I know that you are all eager to hear more about my little vacation this past weekend in Lancaster PA.

I am lacking some photos because I neglected to take photos of all our activities. I am also waiting (patiently) for my friends, Laura and Deb, to e-mail me some of theirs.

We got some sleep (not much but some)...

and I slept really well on my new pillowcase that Laura made for me (and one for Deb) using sewing-themed fabric . We can use them whenever we go somewhere together! Thanks again, Laura!
We saw a lot of buildings....this one is particularly colorful...
I don't think this one has electricity...
and I believe I left some of my money in this building (The Old Country Store).
Actually, I am pretty sure that I left some money there... cuz my new wallet that Deb made me (and one for Laura, too) doesn't have any money in it any more!!!
I left ALOT of my money here!!!!
I hung out with a lot of real cool people.... here, Deb and Laura are headed into a store in Intercourse PA (yes, there really is a town by that name!). Actually, they are racing ahead of me to get the best bargains :-)!
I met some colorful people here...
and more here...
This woman is probably protecting her children from the likes of me...(maybe I asked her for a bit more money)....
We did plenty of traveling in my personalized bus... (I even had the entire bus waiting for me... more about that later- Laura has the photo of that one)...
which wasn't as groovy as this one...
and this one got away before my digital camera would finally cooperate!
Today, in the mail, I got my bag of scraps from Linda as part of my swap with the Scrappy Log Cabin Challenge.

It came in a vacuum sealed bag. I should have taken a photo of it before I opened it up. All these small pieces came popping out. Thanks Linda! Lots of great scraps!!!
Here are a lot of teeny weeny pieces....

Have you ever seen any of George Sicilano's work?? Amazingly intricate and amazingly small!!! He talked to our guild once. He is pretty funny to listen to.

Here are some more small quilts that we saw... Enough clowning around!!!
Before I went on 'vacation', I bought a book from Connecting Threads. I don't often buy from them but I use their site to look inside quilting books to see the projects. This book caught my eye...
This little bag is really cute...
and of course, I couldn't pass up a good quilt with houses!!!
I will post Part II soon.
Okay, cherry-o!!!!
