...blessed!
(or What I did on my Blog-cation... part 2)
If you read my last post, you saw those sandy toes
intermingled in the photos of our many snowfalls .
Well, as you probably guessed,
there are NO sandy beaches in upstate NY
at least, not in February!
I was lucky enough (thanks to the wonderful Mr. U!)
to join my blogless pals, Deb and Laura,
a 10-day Caribbean quilting cruise !!!!
We paired lots fun in the sun...
with three days of classes!
I learned about fusible reverse applique and geometric quilt design
with Charlotte Warr Andersen and made funky fusible houses with Laura Wasilowski.
Those new skills I learned in the classes
along with the stunning and inspiring scenery of the Caribbean
will surely influence my journey (the one in my sewing room... not the one at sea!)
Stay tuned...
OOOOO.... a quilting cruise...now I can be jealous of THAT along with the sandy beach feet.....LOL (just kidding...I'm happy for you that you had such a fun way to escape the brutal winter weather).
ReplyDeleteFabulous!!! Those Caribbean colors will surely inspire you ~ unlike the not so brights we've got going on here! Bring that sunshine back with you ~ please!
ReplyDeleteIs it Ok when I’m just a tiny bit jealous? We have so many colourful people from Aruba, Curacoa and Bonaire living here. They know how to celebrate life!
ReplyDeleteLucky You!!! Sounds and look fabulous!
ReplyDeleteOOOOO! Pack me in your bag the next time you go!
ReplyDeleteWow lucky you!
ReplyDeleteWow. What fabulous fun. Good for you!!! I'm super jealous.
ReplyDeleteOh,lucky you, such awesome teachers. You fish is adorable!
ReplyDeleteWell, I am a bit jealous, too, but then perhaps we might pick up some of the wonderful stuff you learned in the challenge. Good on you for having such a dream holiday!
