Another detail that I enjoy photographing
oddly enough
are
frames of paintings and works of art...
in museums and art galleries..
It often seems that as much thought has gone into
the frame as into the painting...
I don't know who creates these frames...
and whether the artist himself/herself selects the frames...
or whether the art work is framed later...
but sometimes the details on these frames...
large and small...
can be used as inspiration...
in pattern creation...
quilting motifs...
stamp designs...
and lettering...
It's all a frame of mind!!!
