I would rather buy art supplies....

New toys!

and fabric....

than to take the time to buy new shoelaces...

    While at the fabric store, buy some rick rack or cording .. perfect substitute for show laces.

    lol! I find it hard to balance everything at times too..homeschooling, sewing, quilting, photography, and running too! I can't do it all every day, even though I want to every day ;)
