  1. I wish there was another option: waves! lots of waves...it is a waverunner quilt afterall :)

not like ocean waves more like large wavey lines if you know what I mean?

  2. NO WAY!!!! Yeah Me. Thank you so much Lisa. I'm so excited to have won.
As far as quilting...I'm thinking option #1 but no matter what you do, it'll be wonderful for sure!

  4. I love the wavy lines idea ... or your skewed straight lines. I fear that a regular grid or straight lines pattern would detract from the fabulous wonkiness of the quilt.

As the creator of that spiral doll quilt (so glad you like it!), I must say that I think it would provide me a quick trip to crazy to do concentric circles on a big quilt. Spirals would probably be better for something this size.

  5. What a great quilt! I love the idea of wavy lines too, otherwise option 1. It is going to be a masterpiece.

  6. I have been thinking of this for several days for my quilt and as I was pinning it I decided to do something like your #1. Your top looks great.

  10. Congrats to Barb...WELL-deserved winner, in my opinion! I"m going to go vote for the circles (or even if they became spirals) as I think the contrast with all the straight lines would be great!

  11. I love the connector quilting concept.
    Congrats to Barb.

  12. I voted for the circles, firstly because I do them in almost all my quilts and they are fast to do and I love them! And secondly, because I would give the quilt great movement - I love the juxtaposition of the curvy with the straight:)

BUT I know it will be great no matter what you choose!!

  13. Definitely something with curves to contrast the design.
    Have fun with it.

  14. I voted for the wonky grid, but some flowing lines wouldn't be too bad either... Something like this, perhaps? http://www.flickr.com/photos/56001293@N00/3768625231/

  15. I am voting for the concentric circles. I always like contrasting my piecing themes to my quilting themes. It adds a lot of visual interest to the quilt. Be careful though, because it is really hard to execute on a larger quilt (go ahead, ask me how I know this...). good luck and it will look great no matter how you do it!

  16. Lisa: I love the little wonky house that you sent to Quilt It. Do you have a tutorial for that? Thanks.
