you can be sure there are plenty of opportunities to shop...
and so while I was in NYC for 2 weeks, I shopped!!!!
But in order to keep to my budget,
I had to
pace myself!!!
There was the clothing....
a vegan's paradise...
But that's not really the kind of shopping I am talking about!!!!
ART SUPPLIES!!!
That's my game!
There was the mesmerizing Dick Blick!!!
So many choices!!!
But in order to keep to my budget,
I had to
pace myself!!!
There was the clothing....
and the food...
a vegan's paradise...
But that's not really the kind of shopping I am talking about!!!!
ART SUPPLIES!!!
There was the mesmerizing Dick Blick!!!
So many choices!!!
and my purchases....
The vast garment district...
and my purchases...
The entrancing Ink Pad...
it must be that I was so overcome with the goodies that I couldn't focus my camera...
and my purchases....
The beautiful Purl Soho...
and my purchases...
and the gorgeous City Quilter...
and my purchases...
In spite of pacing myself, shopping can be exhausting!!!!
Now I need to find space for my purchases and get some art on!!!
You are much better at pacing than me. I think you showed great restraint!
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking us on your shopping trip with you! I loved the pics. Do you remember where in the Garment District you saw those multi-colored striped ribbons? I think they would look wonderful combined with selvages. And in crazy quilts too. You're probably too busy making art to read your blog comments. Haha. Looks like you had a blast in NYC.

Oh my! I was in the city for an awards event at the Museum of Finance a couple of weeks ago. Had wanted so much to check out the art supply stores and never made it. You now have me wanting to move up my next visit to this weekend...lol...How did you ever leave?
ReplyDeleteHow fun that must of been! I sure hope I get some time in the city in September!
ReplyDeleteDick Blick Oh My! I'm so jealous!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great time in NYC. I went to the City Quilter for the first time recently and bought pretty much the same fabrics you did! I have yet to decide out to use mine and am curious to see how you use yours.
