Well........

it sure did snow last night....
in my hometown!!!! These are photos my sister sent me..

but here... HA! those meteorologists had it all wrong this time... 1"-3"...4"-8"!!!! Really!!!!

I think I spotted a flake or two.. or is it frozen rain droplets???

but it is still green and brown here...

Some of the nearby mountains are still brownish...
others have a little of the white stuff...

Still, I am dreaming of sun and sand...
as I do a little free piecing today...
on my growing collection of Hawaiian themed blocks.

Even though I am dreaming of hot weather...it is definitely chilly here, so plan to bundle up!!!! Ol' Man Winter is coming soon!!!

  1. This may be a dumb question, but....I have lately been seeing the term "free piecing" more and more often. Can you tell me exactly what that is?? Thanks!!!

  8. I cringe at that snow picture. The thought of 6 months holed up inside here makes me want to run in my closet and hide until April. Oh hurry up April come soon!! In other news, since winter is coming I suppose I'll go buy some boots now. That storm is heading our way eventually. WAHHHH!!!

  12. For all of you that are freaked out by the snow in UpstateLisa's hometown (here in the old country) - it's 12C today and all the snow has melted. It's like spring (but it is really just a tease since REAL winter is coming soon)
